TestCentral Installation on Windows 7 PC

1. Download SQL server 2005 Express SP3 from http://microsoft.com/download . Search for “SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 3”.
Note: Downloadthe file SQLEXPR.EXE (54.7MB) for Window7 64-bit operating system. Otherwise, download the file SQLEXPR32.EXE (35.9MB) for Window7 32-bit operating system.

2. Install SQL server 2005 Express SP3with default options and with “Mixed Mode Authentication” and note the password that you provide for Sa login.

3. Install SQL Server Management Studio Express SP3 from http://microsoft.com/downloadand search for SQL Server Management Studio Express SP3.

4. Launch SQL Server Management Studio Express SP3 from the Start menu and logon with SQL server authentication with username Sa and passwordset in step 2 above.

5. Create a new login in SQL Server with default options as in the screenshots below.

6. Setthe Server Role of the User as “sysadmin” as in the screenshot below:

7. Close SQL Server Management Studio.

8. Un-Install current version of TestCentral.
a. Go to StartMenu->Settings->Control Panel->Add Or Remove Programs.
b. Select TestCentral 4.0 and press “Change/Remove” button.

9. Go to http://tc.mot.com/newtc/tc_deployment.asp. Once here loginusing OneIT password.

This will take you to the correct installation path for your group. As seen below.
MD users will go to MD TestCentral site to download the application, EMSusers will go to EMS TestCentral site to download the application.

10. Once here, install the application and re-login to TestCentral. You will either “MDEC” or “EIT” in the titlebar depending on your group. Notice below:
