More than 40,000 soldiers from the United States and South Korea are carrying out military exercisesin the Korean Peninsula as part of a series of exercises that take place every year.
Through these practices, Washington realizes the commitment of its strategic alliance with South Korea.
Butnorthern neighbors interpret that the real purpose of these exercises is very different. Specifically, they argue that it is a screen to cover the preparation of a surprise attack. So in response, Pyongyangbegan burning escalating threats.
This isn’t a novelty in itself, because the North Korean state always strongly rejected joint military maneuvers of their enemies.
The unprecedented is theintensity of recent threats. In that line is the announcement of the cancellation of major peace agreements and even the armistice, which kept frozen war began in 1950.

The history of the War
