T hank you for purchasing the DMX MASTER CA-1612. The DMX MASTER is a standard
u niversal DMX 512 controller, controlling up to 192 DMX channels.
F ollow i ng are it's mainfeatures:

T o store or run scenes.
T o select page A for channel1 to 8, or page B for channel 9 to 16.
4 -digit showing values and settings chosen.
3 0 banks are available for selecting.
T o select 1 - 6 chases.
D isables all channel outputs.
T o activate the progr am mode. Dis p lay blink s w hen ac tivated.
T o control MIDI o peration or activates save function.
T o s e lec t A uto run in c hase mode or delete scenes and/or Chases.
T o trigger soundactivati on in Chase mode or to Copy a bank of
s cenes from one to another in program mode.

I n Auto Chase mode u s ed to c h ange the rate of c h as e and in
p rogram mode change LCD display value.
T o adjust the Fade Time . Fade Time is the time it Takes the DMX
M as t er to c o mpletely c hange from one s c e ne to another.
T o adjust the rate of chase speed in Auto Mode.
T o adjust the output leve l from 0 - 255 or the intens ity from 0% to
1 00% of each channel.

T o receive MIDI data.
M ake sure the polarit y of your fixture and set the DMX Master to
t he properpolarity.
T o send DMX signal to fixtures or packs.
T o supply a DC 9 - 12V power, 300mA minimum.

DMX 512 Addressing
Dip Switch setting: Each Dip switch has an address based on binary code.

Select the address wanted by adding the total of Dip switches on.
Dip Switch no. 10 is notused with DMX but normally to select some functions, ie: Master / Slave,
Sound Activation, etc.
Each of the 12 fixtures is assigned 16 channels. The Dipswitches are set as per the chart below:

Note: When addressing your fixtures, follow the starting address in this instruction not the addressing
found in your fixture user manual.
Scene Programming
1.) Press and hold Program button for three seconds to activate program mode.The LCD next to "
Program " blinks, indicating the program has been started.
2.) Select a fixture to program, by pressing any or all Scanner buttons 1 to 12.
3.) Adjust the faders to the desired output level for all channels (i.e. Colour, Gobo, Pan, Tilt, etc.) of selected
fixture or fixtures. Press Page Select A/B if the fixture has more than 8 channels. When selecting from
