NOUNS
A common noun names any person, place or thing. Common nouns are not capitalized.
Example: The feathers floated above theboy in the pool.
Mr. William teaches biology.
He feeds birds seeds.
A proper noun names a particular person, place or thing. Capitilize the first word and eachimportant word of a proper noun.
Example: Uncle Tim recited the Pledge of Allegiance in Hob Park.
Mr. Klein moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Wednesday, December 14.
Thechoir sang “America the Beautiful” on the Fourth of July.
Capitalize day, months, and holidays. Capitalize the first word and all important words in a title.
Example: Memorial Day is on the lastMonday in May.

ADJECTIVES
