First Paragraph


The title of the book is Rosa. The author is Elaine Cunningham. The type of the book is classified as a story fiction but in a very real setting as per author note. It has107 pages. It takes place on in a beautiful Yakima Valley on Washington State. The main characters are Rosa and Betty.

Second Paragraph

The story is about a girl called Rosa Gomez and hisfamily. They were immigrant Mexican people. Her family always was moving due to her different places. That upset Rosa because she always has to go to a new school all the time and didn’t have friends.She didn’t wants to go to school. She went to a Christian school with her new friend Betty Baker. There she knew a boy called Bud who always teasing her and Jerry Betty’s brother who always supporther. She learns about Jesus and wanted to be a Christian. In the story she disobey her parents order to not be near the river and that cause that Timmy Betty’s brother fall down the river. Rosa rescueshim and that was awful to her. At the end of the story Rosa lied to her parents that she will sleep in her uncles house but she sleep on Betty’s house that cause that the next morning she didn’t’ tsee them, her family was leaving. Betty’s family and her praying to God that they will return back. Her family turns back. Rosa ask her father to forgive her and he forgive her lie.Third Paragraph

The story helps me to think that I can trust in God for everything I want to do. The story reminds me that there are a lot of people that can be in a worst situation than me andmy family. Have a good friend near me can be the best only if I have the control and not be manipulated by them. The story helps to be wiser when I ‘m going to make decision that can affect me or myfamily. Be good to the other no matter what they are and help them when they have problem without get any in change.
