This week in Texas, a group of cheerleaders were punished severely by their school authorities. They were suspended from school and booted out from their cheerleading teams forspiking some of their teammates soda’s with urine. They bought some sodas from a nearby restaurant and after one of the girls peed in a cup, they spiked the sodas. The guilty cheerleaders told some oftheir friends and this caused rumors to spread. The rumors came to the principal’s knowledge and he started an investigation. The guilty squad members received suspension from their team and furthercheerleading events for the rest of the year.
This kind of behavior should be punished with expulsion and not with a temporary suspension. The actions committed were unsanitary and childish. The urinecould’ve had bacteria’s that could’ve caused illnesses to the victims. When these types of actions are committed and the guilty receive a mild punishment, it is certain that these gruesome pranks willbe committed again. The matter should’ve been taken more seriously, and the girls should’ve have received a harsher punishment. This situation can even be imitated by younger kids and they will knowwhat the consequence will be.
Since last Sunday California has gone through a number of earthquakes. The first one being on Sunday with a magnitude of 7.2, after the main earthquake manyaftershocks have been experienced. People are very scared and are not sleeping inside their homes. People have been sleeping in football fields, or open fields to secure their protection. Around 300 houses weredestroyed and people are very concerned. On April 8 California experienced an earthquake with a 5.5 magnitude. This was the greatest earthquake since the one on Sunday.
