I chose Taylor Swift because she’s my favorite female Singer. I love all of her songs and history. She’s inspiring because she has done incredible things that other singers haven’t doneyet. I think her music is loved by everyone especially teenage girls, all of her songs talk about friendship, relationships, family and other things like that which I think are very important.History and Career
Taylor Swift is a 22 year old country singer, song-writer and actress that was born on December 13, 1989. Since she was little she loved music and wanted to be an artist. At the ageof nine, she developed an interest in theatre and music. Taylor turned her attention to country music. She was inspired by LeAnn Rimes’ Blue and her maternal grandmother, Marjorie Finlay, an operasinger. When she was 14, her family moved to Nashville, one of Taylor’s favorite cities because of the culture towards music that they had. Later she started writing songs on her own and she was the firstsong-writer ever hired by Sony/ATV Tree publishing house. Taylor’s lyrics are highly autobiographical; she has said that "If you listen to my albums, it’s like reading my diary.
She began hercareer by building a strong MySpace presence, using the site to get feedback about her demos. She released her debut-single, "Tim McGraw" in mid-2006. Her debut album spent eight consecutive weeks at the top of the Top Country Albums chart and remainedat the top for 24 out of 91 weeks. In October 2007, Taylor was awarded Song-writer/Artist of the year by the Nashville Songwriters Assn.
