Dear Director of Human Resources:
I would like to apply for the counselor’sassistant job here at the University of Arizona in any department. As a counselor, I would most definitely benefit in the position because I am a physiologymajor and I can relate to the students who are seeking for assistance in their major.
During my last year in high school, I volunteered in thecounseling office as an assistant of the head counselor. I learned many responsibilities and duties that need to get done in order to have students to be on theright track in their four years of high school. I have developed many communication skills and learned how to be patient and making sure either thestudent or a parent is satisfied with what they came to get help for.
Because I was involved with counseling, I was asked by the principal to reach outand visit middle schools so I can inform them of what they can do to prepare themselves for high school. This volunteer job required me to talk about lifegoals, educational wise and extracurricular activities.
As a volunteer of assisting in high school, and outside of school, I believe I am capable ofbeing an assistant for any department in the University of Arizona.
