Dead Cadet
Although there were only 5 cadets killed, wounded and other prisoners were recognized 6 as Lt. Agustín Melgar when the battle was recent graduation and had not beenassigned a seat in the National Army. As the list is composed of Agustín Melgar, Fernando Montes de Oca, Francisco Marquez, Juan de la Barrera, Juan Escutia and Vicente Suárez.
Hisdeath
The cadet Fernando Montes de Oca (Age at death 18 years 4 months).
He died in a doorway which was defending, which fell when a U.S. soldier got through a window and kill theespalda.7 8
