Introduction:
Do you: Spend several hours a day on the internet, either playing games, chatting with friends, or browsing websites? Think about accessing the Internet even when you are busy doingsomething else? When you are online, do you lose track of time? Do you find yourself staying up all night on the computer? If you answered ‘‘yes’’ to any or some of these questions, you may be sufferingfrom online addiction.
Online addiction can be defined as an uncontrollable damaging use of Internet technology. It usurps time away from family and friends, from homework and outdoor activities. Italso can manifest itself in biological problems such as sleep deprivation.
I’m very interesting in the topic “Online Addiction” because I as a young person, I take the risk of becoming addicted tothe internet.

Now that we now the definition of online addiction, I would like to inform all of you about the symptoms of internet addiction and how do we draw the line between harmlessInternet use and online addiction, who is more likely to be an online addicted, and what make the internet so addictive.

First, I will give you some tips to help you recognize when a person is addictedand none addicted to the internet.
When we see people spending several hours a day on the internet, either playing games, chatting with friends or even browsing websites, they may be suffering fromonline addiction.
In a recent study it was found that 18.3 percent off a sample was using the Internet to a degree that caused significant social and Interpersonal problems.
Other reasons torecognize if a person is an online addicted are: when people think about accessing the internet even when they are busy doing something else, when they stay up all night on the computer and when they losetrack of time when they are online.
Now, I would like to share with all of you the difference between people who are addicted to the internet and people who are not addicted.
