Onu Ad Hoc Syria
Inthe last months the United Nations have been searching for some solutions to the conflict; among them have come resolutions for the destitution of Bashar al Assad, state leader in Syria. Some powerful countries such as Russia and China are proposing to have them firmly stopped, denying voting in favor. This has created different tensions between the included countries to end the discussion of apossible resolution, principally The United States, Russia, and China, including the countries that are adjacent.
1. RUSSIAN ARMAMENT SENT TO THE SYRIAN GOVERNMENT TO CONTINUE THE REPRESSION TO REBELS
During the last years the countries of Middle East have been diluting the tyrannies under which they were ruled; most of these changes derived from these issues have been developed thanks toprotests from revolutionary groups of the respective countries. Although the purpose of those protests is in some way valid, because they want to take the country to an absolute democracy, many of them use violent methods when they feel that the government isn’t responding favorably to their unconformities. This is the case of Syria in which the revolutionary groups where repressed by the government, tothe point that a civil war is leaving behind a devastated country.
Since the start of the inner conflict in Syria, Russia has shown its unconditional support to the Syrian government, it’s important to highlight the conveniences Russia has in relation to Syria at the economical level mostly. In the last events of the conflict there are evidences that Russia has been supporting the Syriancountry with armament, by sending high technology weapons. By doing this Russia is declaring itself wholly ally of the Syrian country and its government. It’s important to have into account that Russia is maintaining an ally to avoid the loss of its position in the Middle East. These events have created great tension in the United Nations in countries as the United States who has also been supportingthe Syrian government. As allies of Russia there are countries as China principally, who, as well as Russia, have been stopping possible resolutions of the United Nations. It’s necessary to find a solutions to the conflict in which the democracy of the Syrian country has to be the first interest, at the same time the citizens’ security which has been violated in the civil war.
o What is expectedduring the development of this first topic in the complementary council is that the delegates defend the interest of their own countries, in pursue of a possible solution to the conflict, ending a catastrophic war, and taking into account military interventions by the vetoes inside the conflict, as well as the necessary and possible sanctions for those.
