This project is dedicated to our family who constantly inspires and motivates
us to find the ideals and fight the battles inside our souls to understand first
ourselves then serveunconditionally the others, the reason of our existence. It is
also dedicated to our parents who enjoy the presence of God and taught us that
even the largest task can be accomplished if it is done one step at a time.

courage to continue in our studies with perseverance.
Our thanks and appreciation tothe authorities at ESPE – Quito for
attending the Diplomado Course and for all the teachers who transmitted their
knowledge in order to improve our English learning and a truly acknowledgment
to MSc. Luis González for his coordination during our classes and the orientation
for this work.
We are grateful as well to MSc. Milton Cáceres, our tutor for helping and
guiding us to develop thisproject in the best way through the process to reach our
final aim.
We would also like to thank MSc. Carolina Arcentales, Head English
Department at Eloy Alfaro Military School for her support and permission to
apply the polls in the school. In the same way, we would like to thank to the
students and English teachers in the primary section for their honest cooperation
in completing thequestionnaires, the most important tool to know the real
problem while reading and find the solution to improve our students’
comprehension and critical thinking.
The inspiration for doing the research came from the necessity to get better
the English Language Learning and the skills as well. The program was one of the
most important and formative experiences in our lives.
