Overpopulation in China

¿How it affects the excessive population growth in China society?

PRESENTATIONOverpopulation is a term that refers to a condition in which the population density is extended to a limit that causes environmental deterioration, a decrease in quality oflife, or a population crash.

Is the most populous, with 1,300 million inhabitants. This is how this country has tried to limit their population by adopting a policywhich limits urban families to one child and rural families to two if the first is a girl. Since children are considered economically more useful in rural areas, there isa high rate of women seeking abortions to ensure that the second child is male. This results in a sex ratio of 119 boys born for 100 girls, which prompted authorities toemphasize the importance of women, and has come to ban the use of medical methods for predicting the sex of the fetus and severely punish selective abortion of girls. The State recently undertook reforms in its family planning policy easing birth control and encouraging economically to families with two girls.

From the 70's,especially after the implementation of the reform and opening to the outside world, China established demographic policies to control population growth and raising the qualityof the population. Since then, family planning, was established as a basic state policy. The Chinese Government encourages late marriage and childbearing, and advocatesthat a couple has one child and reasonably plan the birth of their second child in accordance with laws and regulations. This policy also applies to ethnic minorities.
