Description
SINGLE/MULTIPLE UNIT CONTROL FOR PARALLELING

TheModel ECP5000E panel consists of one free standing steel enclosure for
controlling single or multiple units in parallel. Panel dimensions: 30”W x 18”D x
72”H (764mm x 459 mm x 1830 mm). Rated forindoor use: operating temperature
32-122°F (0-50°C) and relative humidity 0-95% (non-condensing). The panel
contains a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), AC Power monitor, voltage
regulator, relays,terminal blocks and other control components. The HMI (Human
Machine Interface), control switches and indicating lights are mounted through the
hinged door. Options expand the panel capability toinclude paralleling equipment,
automatic unit selection and load dump circuitry.

Basic Components
ALARM HORN – 100dB Sounded on any shutdown or warning signal.
Silencing touchpad switch in theHMI.
ENCLOSURE – NEMA 12 (IP 52) for general indoor use with provisions
for lifting, handling and transporting.
LIFTING EYES – On top of enclosure for handling, removable.
CONTROLS –Microprocessor based.
ENGINE CONTROL – Includes:
A. Three (3) position selector switch (Manual – Off – Auto).

HMI (Human Machine Interface) – Industrial PC w/15” color touch
screen and Windows basedoperating system. Displays Engine System
Manager (ESM®) information, Enginator® operating status, AC
power information, synchroscope functionality, trending, warnings and
shutdowns. Electronic serviceprogram (ESP) installed for ESM.
INTEGRATED AC POWER TRANSDUCER – Monitors generator and
bus AC parameters (current, frequency, voltage, power, power factor) and
generator bus synchronizinginformation. Metering accuracy – 0.1%.
128 samples/cycle.

B. Two (2) position load control switch (Loadsharing-Baseload).
