Holden Caulfield, this guy about 16 to 17 years old who has a strange way of perceive the world, with a red hunter hat that ever be with him, like a part ofhimself, he ever criticizes the elite society around his life, sometimes his sincerity masquerading as cynicism reveals his point of view of young rebel with the ability to see the faults of others; Idealist young, with a lack of affection for his parents that few time mentioned in the book and always overshadowed by the successful life of his brothers, he was educate in the traditional American systemin a single – sex school called Pencey college, the place who build the personality “one of the out of reach for most American families, show the economic position of Caulfield.to.
I found a song called Adolescents -Artist: Incubus, this song expresses the feelings of Caulfield.

“i'm feeling out of bounds, out of bounds
I'm running out of time, out of time
I know there's no such thing aseither of them
But it doesn't make me feel any better.”

“out of sight, out of mind
out of sight, out of mind
we're out of time
we're out of mind
out of mind
out of mind
yeah, yeah”

“I’m feeling overwhelmed, overwhelmed
it’s getting out of line, line, line
I know I’m not alone
Just adolescents, you and I
It doesn’t make me feel any better”

In the first verse of thissong show some signs of disorientation as a teenager: like Caulfield sensitive, nervous, a liar, and tends to become depressed easily. In my point of view Caulfield has an immaturity, expressing longing for his childhood, although sometimes shows maturity but he remains a child inside. I found in the text page 173 chapter 22
“You know that song 'If a body catch a body coming' through the rye'?I'd like--"It's 'If a body meet a body coming through the rye'!" old Phoebe said. "It's a poem. By Robert Burns" "I know it's a poem by Robert Burns." She was right, though. It is "If bodies meet a body coming through the rye." I didn't know it then, though. "I thought it was 'If bodies catch a body,'" I said. "Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field ofrye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobody's around--nobody big, I mean--except me. And I'm standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff--I mean if they're running and they don't look where they're going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them. That's all I'd do all day. I'd just be the catcher in the ryeand all. I know it's crazy, but that's the only thing I'd really like to be. I know it's crazy." Old Phoebe didn't say anything for a long time. Then, when she said something, all she said was, "Daddy's going to kill you." "I don't give a damn if he does," I said.”

Especially this quote shows us the reason for Caulfield and his interest in not grow up, he expressing rebellion and the boy'smental immaturity, show us elements of the human condition, especially in adolescents like the song. Other aspect that influence in his adolescence life were:
Secondly: his way to criticize everyone and criticize himself, example in the chapter 3 first paragraph:
“I'm the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life. It's awful. If I'm on my way to the store to buy a magazine, even, and somebodyasks me where I'm going, I'm liable to say I'm going to the opera. It's terrible. So when I told old Spencer I had to go to the gym and get my equipment and stuff that was a sheer lie. I don't even keep my goddam equipment in the gym.”

The psychologically disturbed of H.C, his cynicism help him to do self-evaluation. Holden Caulfield is a clear case of how to shape the character in our...
