WHEN THE PASSIVE IS USED (

*When we don’t know WHO or WHAT did something:
My bicycle has been stolen. (Someone has stolen my bicycle)

The fist tools were made in Africa two millionyears ago
(People made the first tools)

*The action is more important than who did it
Tea was introduced in England in 1798

*It is obvious WHO or What did something
The thief’sbeen arrested

*We can use
By + person / thing ( the police, my mother, the box)

To show who does the action if this information is important

The robber was seen by manypeople. ( The people saw the robber)

TO HAVE SOMETHING DONE
To ask someone else to do something for us

HAVE + SOMETHING+ DONE

The president had the car taken to the airport ( by hisdriver)
I had my hair cut ( the hair dresser cut my hair)
