To welcome the Thanksgiving Day, people clean their homes and decorate it with wreaths, centerpieces and dried flowers. People give new look to their interiors. Lamps and candles are light to adorn the interiors of the house. 
On the Thanksgiving Day people send messages, warm wishesand gifts to their friends, family, relatives and colleagues at work place. There are special Thanksgiving cards and gifts that are tailor made and are in great demand during the holiday season. The origin of the first Thanksgiving Day can be traced back to the 16th century.
Apple and grape harvest festival is celebrated in the month of March in the granite belt. The festival is celebratedfor 3-4 days. Various cultural and fun events are organised everyday to mark the occasion. Grape crushing competitions, apple competitions, street carnivals, grand parade are some of the attractions. Splendid display of fireworks is another feature of the festival. It ends with the crowning of 'apple n grape' ambassador.
