The Monopolization of Patriotism
Patriotism is defined as devoted love, support, and defense of one's country; national loyalty.“Who does not love his/ her country, does not love his/ her mother”. This is a famous quote in some countries and it is the quintessential example of patriotism. It is obvious that if someone messeswith your mother you are going to do the impossible to defend her. It is the same with your country; that is why it is called “Motherland’ .It has pros and cons, but the issue is when moral principlesbecome altered. There are many ways to be a patriot, but espionage is not one of them.
Moral principles become questionable and disturbed when you are not honest. Spying other countries isdisrespectful and dishonest. You put yourself in a position in which double interests are mixed. The main objective for military spying is to find something that threatens or endangers your country and theircitizens. But society is ambitious and they spy other countries under the guise of patriotism, while actually what they are looking for, is any weak point in the other country to attack, some trick uphis sleeve.

This lead us into a maze. Where if nobody stops, it will go on forever. For example when someone suspicious is being spied it is okay to do it because that ispatriotism. But when “everyone is suspicious” there is the problem. Foreign residents are usually spied or in constant vigilance by governments. It happens everywhere. This is something that happens worldwide.Even if you are not a suspect, they want to know your movements and your actions. So, where is the privacy?
Privacy is part of freedom and in this spying issue we have who characters involved, theone who is spying and the one who has been spied. The spy has its morals on the floor because it is unethical to engage in secret in the life of a person. And second, who is spying you are...
