The implementation of occupational health program in the construction area is of high importance due to that is the place where there are the highest rate of accidents for the risks they are exposed the workers or apprentices ,that’s why we must implement and maintain in a from efficient the control systems necessary for the protection of the workers against the occupational hazards andenvironmental contaminants that is found in the workplace as the stipulated in the resolution 2413 of May 22,1979 in which is regulate the hygiene and security for the construction industry.

Every employer who run a construction site will must give personal protective equipment workers to avoid occupational accidents and diseases ,that are the causing high lack the companies ,since the aim ofoccupational health program is to provide,prevent,remove and protect the health of their employees in different workplaces.

RIESGOS EXISTENTES EN EL AREA DE CONSTRUCCION

*Riesgos Físicos: Ruido producido por maquinaria, demoliciones.

*Riesgos Locativos: Orden y aseo: Acumulación de basuras y escombros, pisos resbaladizos en el área de formación.

*Riesgos Ergonómicos: Posturas inadecuadas,trabajo repetitivo, levantamiento de carga excesiva.

*Riesgos Biológicos: Hongos producidos por la humedad, brotes y alergias en la piel por la manipulación del cemento

*Riesgos Químicos: Por el uso de pinturas y aerosoles.

*Riesgos Eléctricos: Uso inadecuado del sistema eléctrico, tomas de corriente en mal estado, materiales defectuosos.

*Riesgos Mecánicos: Uso inadecuado de lasherramientas de trabajo.

*Riesgo Psicosocial: Debido a la recarga laboral, relaciones interpersonales, estrés.

*Riesgos por procedimientos peligrosos: Trabajos en altura, trabajos en subsuelo, trabajos en áreas confinadas.

HAZARDS IN THE CONSTRUCTION AREA

-Physical risks: Noise from machinery, demolition.

-Rental risks: housekeeping: accumulation of trash and debris, slippery floors in thearea of training.

-Ergonomics Hazards: Fungal produced humidity, rashes and skin allergies by the manipulation of the cement.

Chemical risk by the use of paints and aerosols.

Electrical Hazards, improper use of electrical system, plugs in poor condition, material defects.

Mechanical Hazard: The inappropriate use of work tools psychosocial risk due to the working excess, interpersonalrelationships, stess.

Risk Dangerous procedures: Working at climbing areas work underground, work in confined areas.

WARNINGS

*Physical Risks: “Noise” Use of hearing protectors that meets quality standars.

Warning Actions:

-To make environmental measurements to evaluate if sound exposition exceeds the maximum limits that are allowed.

-Replace from workplaces those workers thatare hypersensitive to noise.

-To restrict the time of noise exposition for workers.

RIESGOS LOCATIVOS: ORDEN Y ASEO: Se recomienda separar correctamente los residuos en el ambiente de trabajo y almacenarlos de manera segura y que no interrumpa el paso de los demás trabajadores.

ACCIONES PREVENTIVAS:

-Todos los sitios de trabajo, pasadizos, bodegas y servicios sanitarios deberánmantenerse en buenas condiciones de higiene y limpieza.

-El piso de las áreas de trabajo se mantendrán limpio y secos.

-Los utensilios de aseo se guardaran y ubicaran ordenadamente en un área específica para prevenir accidentes de trabajo.

Riesgos Ergonómicos: Se recomienda capacitaciones a los trabajadores sobre los riesgos existentes en los lugares de trabajo y pausas activas.

ACCIONESPREVENTIVAS:

-Adecuación del puesto de trabajo.

-Capacitación sobre la manipulación de cargas pesadas.

-Charlas sobre higiene postural.

-Mantenimiento de los equipos de trabajo.

Riesgos Biológicos: Se recomienda capacitación sobre el manejo de residuos.

ACCIONES PREVENTIVAS:

-Implementación del plan de vigilancia epidemiológica.
