Personal Protective Equipment

- The EPP includes all devices, accessories and clothing from various designs used by the worker to protect against possible injury.
- The personal protective equipment (PPE) are one of the most basic concepts about security in the workplace and are required when the dangers have not been completely eliminated or controlled by other means such as: Controlsengineering.
- The Law 16,744 on Occupational Accidents and Occupational Diseases in Article No. 68 states that "companies must provide their workers, protective equipment and tools necessary in any case can not charge its value."
Requirements of a E.P.P.
- Provide maximum comfort and weight must be the minimum consistent with efficient protection.
- Do not restrict the movement of the worker.

Obligations of employers
• 1. Personal protective equipment must comply with the Community provisions on design and construction safety and health that affect it. In any case, personal protective equipment shall:

• c) take account of ergonomic requirements and the worker's health;

• 3. The conditions under which personal protective equipment should be used, particularly as regards the time during which it is to be, will be determined depending on the seriousness of the risk, frequency of exposure and job characteristics of each employee as well as the performance of personal protective equipment.
• 4. Thepersonal protective equipment shall be designed, in principle, for personal use.
If circumstances require the use of a single computer by several people, must take steps to ensure that such use does not cause any health problems or hygiene to different users.
