IS IT ALL IN OUR HEAD?

Mainly, dissociative identitydisorder (DID) is used as a helpful and common tool for those who try to forget particular situations in their lives. How is it possible that several personalities could be part of one person? Clearly,humans go through life without ever having a single thought about who they are. However, in reality there is no an identity that could be perfectly defined.
One book, three stories and their fiction isclosely linked to the issue of identity, where is widely represented how psychological and existential struggles take place within the characters; Quinn, Blue and the nameless person from the lockedroom. They were not only bounded by several circumstances through the book, but also they had to find the way out of confusion, so they took on themselves multiple identities and struggle with theiralter ego. However, they were often doomed in their impossible effort to grasp the elusive self.
The main characteristic of DID is that people do not feel a connection between one personality andothers in different moments of his life, that is why they did not have a clear conscious about the problem, neither they were able to manage it. Stillman had for him, after the mysterious call he received. Definitely, this eventplaced the beginning of an unconscious battle and a deep discovery of his personality. His shocking experience, due to his family lost and isolation as a result. He had to take refuge in multipleidentities, as well as the constant shifts allowed Quinn to get rid of his burdened self.
