* History
* Peru's economy demonstrate its varied geography - an arid coastal region, the Andes further inland, and tropical lands bordering Colombia and Brazil. Abundant mineral resources are found in the mountainous areas, and Peru's coastal waters provide excellent fishing grounds.
* Peru most important economy depends on the extraction and exportationof minerals and metals. Peru has a great macroeconomic performance exporting and importing foods.
* Government
* Peru is a presidential representative democratic republic with a multi-party system. Every citizen between the ages of 18 to 75 is in the obligation of vote for a president.
* During the recent years human rights in Peru play an important role since there have been anumber of conflicts that involve different communities that are protesting against the government or companies. These conflicts sometimes ended with fatalities in both sides. The government is working to benefit and help the community for it to keep growing in the economy and education.
* Geography
* The weather in Peru is very diverse because of different phenomenon. The oceanic currentin Peru brings cold waters in to the coast causing a dry atmosphere. In the amazons the weather is completely different; it is very humid bringing hot temperatures and lots of rain. The north of Peru can be really hot, but it’s a dry climate. The highlands, most of the time, consists of cold weather and because of their higher levels, some parts are always covered in snow or ice.
*Peru is a large mountainous country located on the coast of the Pacific Ocean in South America. It has borders with Ecuador and Colombia in the North; Brazil and Bolivia in the East, and Chile in the South. To the west is the Pacific Ocean. There are three natural regions:
* Coast:
* The coastal region, where the capital is located, is a narrow coastal plain mainly deserted andcrossed by fertile valleys. Where we can find agricultural plantations, such as cotton, sugar-cane and rice, also the majority of oil in the country is exploded in this area.
* The Highlands:
* The highlands, part of the Andean Mountain Range, some of the high mountain can reach up to 6000 meter over the sea level. The majority of minerals like zinc, coopers are located in this partof the country. The jungle is a zone of high fertile lands with a tropical climate.
* The Amazon
* The Amazon jungle is located on the eastern side of Peru. It has a great number of natural resources. However, the lack of routes and transportation in this area slows the development to grow in this area. During the mid-1970’s people started to explode a little more all thesources from this area.
* Agriculture in Peru is based in products like asparagus, coffee, cocoa, cotton, sugarcane, rice, potatoes, corn, plantains, grapes, oranges, pineapples, guavas, bananas, apples, lemons, pears, coca, tomatoes, mango, barley, medicinal plants, palm oil, marigold, onion, wheat, dry beans; poultry, beef, dairy products; fish; guinea pigs
