superar esas barreras.
Palabras clave: “energías renovables”, “fotovoltaica”, “biomasa”, “emisiones de

ABSTRACT.
Through the design of an apparently simple installation, a mixed photovoltaicand
biomass heating system of for a single-family house, we will be able to explore the
exciting world of renewable energy.
We are going to understand not only the technical aspects of these two technologies
but also their environmental, economic and social aspects. We will be able to know
their theoretical foundations and their technical components. We will also get familiar
with the concepts ofself-consumption, CO2 emissions, associated savings and,
finally, the contribution to the development of a local industry.
The main objective of this project is the transformation of a home currently supplied
by fossil fuels into a sustainable one, supplied by renewable energies. We will
conclude on the achievement of the project main objective.
But we will also take the opportunity to share somelessons learned in the process:
the advantages of renewables, the barriers that might have for their implementation
in the domestic field and some proposals on how to overcome those barriers.
Key words: “renewable energies”, “photovoltaic”, “biomass”, “CO2 emissions”, “selfconsumption”, “savings”.
