Mexico celebrates Independence Day dramatically


Mexico celebrates its Independence Day on September 16, but the celebrations begin the night before with the famous "Grito de Dolores" .
TheScream is a massive call and response that commemorates the time when the priest Miguel Hidalgo called against the French conquerors and Spaniards against the elites " Spaniards ", a term that refers tothe settlers of Spain.
After three centuries of Spanish rule, Mexico faced changing circumstances after Napoleon Bonaparte conquered Spain, King Ferdinand VII kept in captivity and appointed hisbrother Joseph as king.
Hidalgo's call prompted people to revolt in his small town of Dolores and eventuallyled to the War of Independence of Mexico .
