B- The title is in past tense because the author refers to that she does notfeel Puerto Rican. Because she had a few sudden changes in his life that they made it feel that already it was not Puerto Rican.
About the Author
The author of this novel is Emeralda Santiago,a woman who was born in Puerto Rico and raised in a poor environment. In his 13 years came to the United States being the largest of a family that included eleven children. Santiago attended a highschool in Brooklyn, and attended the Performing Arts High School in New York. He graduated from Harvard University and Sarah Lawrence College.
