William Blake

He was born in London; his father had hosiery shop, his mother taught him to read and write, and then he worked in his family business.

His family was religious and the biblewas his source of inspiration during his life. At an early age, he started doing copies of drawings by the great Old Masters of the Renaissance.

When he was 14, his family recognized his talent for drawing and sent him to a teacher to be apprenticed. After this, he became a student at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in London.-------------------------------------------------
In the year of 1826, Blake received a particular amount of money to illustrate and create Dante's Inferno, but he only completed a handful of watercolors before his death the following year. Despite this, his watercolors are seen as some of his greatest works.

Is the father of English landscape painting, and it was he who fought against conventional paintings. He is also considered as a founder of the modern English school.-------------------------------------------------
His childhood is not quite certain. He was born in 1729 and he was raised in London by Sir George Wynne, and placed with an obscure painter, Thomas Wright, of whom nothing is really known.

In 1755, his work was known and his reputation stood him to be chosen as one of the members of the Royal Academy in 1768.-------------------------------------------------
At end of his life a small legacy let him retire and get by in Wales, where he died in 1782.
