[pic] |[pic] | |A third person has been charged in the brutal death of a teen authorities believe was killed in December 2008 for being a snitch.Julio G. Gomez, 25, of Greenacres, is charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping in the slaying of 17-year-old Maciel Martin Videla. Police in Hardee, S.C., picked up Gomez late Friday night, andhe was returned Tuesday to the Palm Beach County Jail.
On Wednesday, Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Krista Marx ordered Gomez held without bond.
Alfredo Arturo Gomez-Sotelo, 26, of Lake Worth,was charged with murder in January 2009 after he confessed he lured Videla on the pretense that he would buy drugs from the Greenacres teen.
He told authorities that on Dec. 11 he and other menheld Videla as other attackers stabbed him 15 times and slashed his throat in a secluded area west of State Road 7 north of Hypoluxo Road.
The victim's girlfriend, Adriana Rodriguez, 18, also wascharged last year after she confessed she lured him to the group of men, knowing they would kill him.
Detectives said at the time of the murder arrests that they were searching for three other men, allMexican nationals.
Authorities so far have not said who they think did the actual stabbing.
Videla, who was from Argentina, had been arrested Dec. 3 on burglary and larceny charges. He wasreleased Dec. 10, the day before his slaying, after he brokered a deal between Gomez-Sotelo and an undercover agent involving about 15-1/2 pounds of cocaine.
Investigators think his attackers found outabout his cooperation and killed him.
After being lured to the El Toro Loco club, Videla got into a car with Gomez-Sotelo which was followed by another car.
After the men got out of the cars ina secluded area between two nurseries, Videla was attacked.
The four men then dumped Videla in the canal and left, returning to a party at the home of one of the three friends.
