COMPETENCIAS GENÉRICAS:
1. Continuar el desarrollo lingüístico de los alumnos a nivel pre-intermedio.
2. Usar frases hechas, parafrasear, describir lugares, alimentos, vestuario.
3. Conversar sobre diversos tópicos, tales como: deportes, modas, eventos futuros
4. Conocer elementos de la cultura de algunos países de habla inglesa significativos para el
aprendizaje del idioma y elcrecimiento personal.

COMPETENCIAS ESPECÍFICAS:
Los estudiantes serán capaces de:
Parafrasear información dada con un nivel de proficiencia pre-intermedio, aplicando las cuatro habilidades lingüísticas: comprensión y producción oral y escrita.
Requerir y dar información , en forma oral y escrita, sobre diversos tópicos tratados en clases
Participar en forma progresiva, sistemática y espontáneaen situaciones significativas de la vida cotidiana.
Vivenciar la importancia y utilidad de la lengua extranjera, interactuando oralmente y por escrito con sus pares, en situaciones significativas.
Leer comprensivamente textos breves en inglés originales y/o adaptados, aplicando estrategias de pre-lectura, durante y post-lectura.

NOTE: The syllabus of this course is both semantic-situational as well as functional. The structural aspect is subordinated to the other aspects and will depend on the difficulties shown by the students.
