Women deserved great credit to be able to catch up with men on many tasks and overcome many other challenges having just the title of “weaker sex.”
But women not only have been educated and haveclimbed socially level; they also have changed their ways of thinking and acting. Currently, they are concerned more for their appearance, which in most cases, depends on women’s self-esteem, courage andhappiness.

Nowadays, we see on television, newspapers, magazines, and advertising, bodies exposed to biologically impossible measures, women with breasts too large or really small waists, butthese models have become standards of beauty for modern society today. Proceeds from this, to perform cosmetic surgery consultations have had a significant increase in recent decades.
Other reasons whywomen undergo a cosmetic surgery are many. It is said that it brings positive aspects to people’s life, gives the confidence that women need to feel and act better, retrieves positive levels ofself-esteem, helps to have more efficient social integration and have a better quality of life.
But why is it that all these fashion are influencing women’s decisions about cosmetic surgery? Many studieshave shown that women tend to think the only synonym for success and happiness is physical appearance. I cannot think about this without mentioning my own experience. I came from a country that isone of the top provides of plastic surgery in the world. Therefore, higher demand for these surgeries the lower the price to get one. Plastic surgery among women is a everyday thing. They are everydaytrying to be the most beautiful, attractive and desirable without measuring the consequences that these procedures could bring; such as, problems with anesthesia, poor wound, and even obsession.Never will look good enough.
I have to agree with plastic surgery when is related with health and reconstruction issues. I know the advantages that looking beautiful brings along, but is it worth it...
