Using the PowerPoint Library
This pdf file is a guide for selecting individual slides for a church PowerPoint presentation. Each page represents a PowerPoint file found in theConnection in thePresentation Slide Library under Other Ministry Information on the Resources page. The title of each PowerPoint file is located under the bookmark tab in this instructional pdf file (Figure 1). It isvisible to the left of the page. If not, select the Bookmarks tab to view the slide titles. Again, this pdf is only a guide and is not designed to supply individual images into your PowerPointpresentation.

Designing your PowerPoint involves selecting and arranging approved slides from the slide library. Open a Category file from the Category menubox, and download the slide files you need. Open a file you have downloaded and copy and paste the specific slides into your own PowerPoint presentation file. Your PowerPoint must begin with theOpening Slide and end with the Closing Slide. Also, please note that some images are used multiple times— sometimes with copy lines and sometimes without. Please watch for this duplication and be carefulas you assemble your presentation.

Using individUal slides

When you copy and paste individual PowerPoint slides, the size of the text or the background color may change. To ensure the approvedGideon PowerPoint slides maintain the proper arrangement, the program must be set to keep the slides’ previous formatting. If this happens, use the following steps to correct the text. When you pastethe slide into your presentation, a clipboard may appear in the lower right-hand corner of the slide (Figure 2).

Select the clipboard to display a formatting menu (Figure 3). Change theselection in the menu to “Keep Source Formatting.”

This will return the text to the intended formatting as in the original PowerPoint slide (Figure 4).
