INTRODUCTION
Mexico has passed through a very large process of democracy, since, the PRI (Partido Revolucionario Institucional) stayed in power during more than 70 years, being all victims of a false democracy, where the party governed Mexico, although always was know the corruption and frauds that where done. Then, in 2000, Vicente Fox, from the contrary party PAN (Partido Accion Nacional) wonthe presidential elections and, for first time in the history of the country, people though that a change would be done, and that democracy was being restructured, then in 2006 again the PAN won the elections but, because of the drug dealers and the insecurity in the country the party lost the followers. In the last elections this year 2012, the principal parties participating were PRI withEnrique Peña Nieto, PAN, with Josefina Vasquez Mota, and PRD with Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
In the present essay it would be analyzed the party PRD (Partido Revolucionario Democratico) and its candidate Lopez Obrador, cause is the only party that hasn’t have the opportunity to govern the country, and which ideology differ in many senses to the others.

PRD
As a brief history of the Party ofDemocratic Revolution (PRD), it was created in 1988 by Cuauhtémoc Cardenas, after he “left the PRI in 1988 in protest over its choice of Salinas, a free-market reformer, as the PRI's presidential nominee.” (U.S. Library of Congress, 2005) The party has gaining power since its creation, and although it hasn’t won the presidential election, the past ones, in 2006, the difference between the winner (PAN)and the PRD was minimal. The party is also incrementing its participation in the government as in the 2006 won 127 seats of the 500 in the chamber of Deputies.
Basically, the form of government that the PRD promotes is “economic nationalism, as opposed to the structural neoliberal changes that focus on increasing trade and foreign investment to boost the Mexican economy” (U.S. Library ofCongress, 2005) with the promotion of social welfare programs, as it promotes social and economic reforms and social justice, as well as populist policies.
As it can be see, the PRD has a progressive ideology because it differs with the ideology of the government of Mexico now a day, and it’s seen as a change, with the candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, who in the candidature what he most promotedwhere “his programs of economic aid to the poor and the elderly” (Moreno, 2007) making him really popular, mostly in the South of the country, in Mexico City and in the surrounding areas.
The party is recognized as being the “left” party. As (Torres Martinez, 2007) explain that since its foundation the PRD defined itself as the left-wing and a socialist, contrary to other parties, and he saysthat we can observe the anti-liberal radical leftist speech with regards economy and social democracy on political grounds that is present in the party.
ANDRES MANUEL LOPEZ OBRADOR

Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) is an Mexican politician that as part of the PRD party was in front of the Mexico City government, where he establish a pension law for old people, open an university, and make otherchanges in supporting the welfare system. The ideology of AMLO is leftist, with his promotion of social programs. And also he “opposes the privatization of the oil and energy industries and stands against the proposed labor law ‘reform.” (La Botz, 2012) He also opposes monopolies, and he said he would improve economy by creating jobs.
In the year 2006, Lopez Obrador was candidate for theMexican presidency, and the other strong candidate was Felipe Calderon, who defeated Lopez Obrador, although the did it with a really small percentage in the difference in the votes, so AMLO and his followers filled the plazas and the boulevards of Mexico City to protest the fraud, and the paralyzed the city for more than just a day, with all that, however Calderon took his position as president of...
