Design Specifications

Mast Material: 1.90” x .145” stainlesssteel tube TP 304
Boom: 1.90” x .145” stainless steel tube TP 304
Finish: Epoxy powder coating, white.
Hydraulic Ram: Power Packer self-contained hydraulic ram w/hand
pump, 18” stroke length.
Anchor: ø2-1/2” Schedule 40 stainless steel pipe housing with
UHMW polyolefin plain bearing sleeve & stainless steel
tamper-resistant lid.
Rotation Assist: ø1” diameter X 16” long TP 304 (turn-bar) w/attachment lugs on both sides ofmast.
Warranty: 2-year structural warranty, 1-year on the hydraulic ram.

READ CAREFULLY
Check entire box and inside all packing materials for parts. Before beginning assembly, read
the instructions and identify parts using the figures and parts listed in this document. It is
critical that all parts be carefully inspected by theinstaller prior to installation to ensure that
no damage occurred in transit and that a damaged part is not used. Proper installation
cannot be overstressed. Improper installation voids the warranty and may affect the safety of
the user.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
FIGURE 1
The Boom Arm and Mast come pre-assembled.
FIGURE 2 (STEP 1)
Attach the upper end
of the hydraulicram to
the boom with the
supplied 3/8” x 1-3/4”
hex bolt, two (2) 3/8”
flat washers, and a
3/8” nylock nut.
FIGURE 3 (STEP 2)
Connect the lower end of
the hydraulic ram to the
mast with the supplied 3/8”
x 1-1/2” hex bolt, two (2)
3/8” flat washers, and a
3/8” nylock nut.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The Wheelchair-to-Water Lift anchor can be installed in an existing cement
pool deck or when pouring a new deck.
1. Locate the supplied anchor socket. DO NOT lose the protective cap.
2. Find the desired poolside location for the Wheelchair-to-Water Lift.
NOTE: Check local codes for maximum water depth requirements.
3. The setback for the anchormust be no more than 20” from the poolwall
and at least 6” from any control joint or edge of concrete slab. Refer to
FIGURE 1

4. Core drill at least a 4” diameter hole to a depth of at least 7” at the
desired location for the lift and anchor socket. Remove all excess
material from the hole. This may require a hammer and chisel.
5. Properly ground/bond the anchorsocket using the attached bonding
lug according to local electrical codes*. Refer to FIGURE 2
6. Fill the hole 1/3 full with high-strength epoxy or cement. Install the
anchor by pushing down and rotating back and forth until the anchor is
flush with the deck surface. Make sure the epoxy/cement fills the hole
up to the surface. Clean off excess epoxy/cement.
7. Let epoxy/cement cure for 24hours (or minimum
manufacturer’s recommendations) before using lift.
*For more information on grounding and “equipotential bonding” refer to the
National Electrical Code (NEC) Article 680, “Swimming Pools, Spas, Hot
Tubs, Fountains, and Similar Installations.”
