Why do animals become extinct and how can we help them?
We know that animal species become extinct since the dinosaur age, but in the last few years the percentage of animals that has disappeared orhas got endangered has increased a lot, in fact a total of 27 species was officially declared extinct in the world in the last 20 years. One of the main causes of their extinction is that humans donot take proper care of them and their environment. The true is that we still have time to prevent their extinction by changing our habits and learning more about their situation.
4 main causes fortheir extinction:
-Natural disaster: Drought, fires and global warming are some of the natural disasters that affect humans and animal’s habitat .Fires in special has destroy many forests, home of ahuge number of birds and others species that now are homeless .Sometimes if they find a new home they have to get use to a knew climate condition which is really hard to them and many difficulties likethat.
Global warming is also a huge cause for animal’s extinction or endangered, the ice sea is melting really fast! In the past three decades, more than a million squares miles has disappeared. Abig amount of animals such as the polar bear and the penguin are losing a 100% of their homes which is part of our fault because we are one of the causes of global warming.
-Increase in humanpopulation: Because human population is increasing our needs are also increasing. First we need more food, therefore we have to cut down forests to make crops and we hunt more than we used to so animals aredying in big amounts. Second, we need more places to live so we cut down forests to make new homes and third… because we are more people now, we make more waste which harms animal’s environment andours.
