A biography is a written account of someone's life. A biography is a narrative account that covers the events of a particular person's experience.However, each biography will include the basic details. The first information you should gather in your research will include biographical details and facts. You must use a trustworthy resource to ensurethat your information is accurate.Using research note cards, collect the following data, carefully recording the source for each piece of information:
Basic details include:
* Date and place ofbirth and death
* Family information
* Lifetime accomplishments
* Major events of life
* Effects/impact on society, historical significance

You'll have to make sure your beginning ismotivating, but it should also be relevant.
Your biography will contain five paragraphs including:
* An introductory paragraph
* Three body paragraphs
* A summary paragraph
TheIntroductory Paragraph
Your introductory paragraph should contain a strong first sentence that gives the reader a hint at your topic, like:
"Abraham Lincoln once described himself as an ordinary man with anextraordinary story."
The introductory sentence should be followed by a few sentences that give a little more information about your topic and lead up to your "big claim," or thesis statement. Thelast sentence of your first paragraph will state your thesis.
The Body Paragraphs
Each body paragraph will contain the following:
* Topic sentence
* Support sentences
* Transitionsentence that leads to the next topic
