Is Biosphere II an open or closed system?
* It’s supposed to be a closed system but the way it works, works as an open system
How many different biomes arepresent in this project?
* It has aquatic ecosystems, as an estuary and oceans, in the terrestrial examples we have tropical rainforest, savannah, fog desert and thorn scrub andalso we have some habitat for human livings and have their own agricultural system separated from this biomes
Why Biosphere 2 is like a model city?
* Because it’s arepresentation an example of how the systems should be in an stabilized area without all this pollution and human contact and besides it’s an ideal place but it still hasexperimental side of it
Explain the purposed and conclusions of two major research project developed in biosphere 2
* Well we can call it as missions the first mission startedin 1991 and this was supposed to improve the agricultural system, and it did in a 83% they wanted to know if making this crops would try to sustain people and if it wascapable to sustain a certain amount of people, they also wanted to know if some food webs and ecological functions extinguished there could be a way to stabilize them in some way* Then we have the second mission that was also to ensure the food production, experiment with it and make an efficient system out of it, the mission failed due to somedisputes and undertaken improvements
Give two examples of unplanned events that occur during the project
* As I mentioned before it wasn’t planned that the disputehappened and that the mission would fail due to irresponsibility
* Or in mission one the rating of photosynthesis and rate of respiration and some of this system unbalanced
