Facilities
Our Centre is conveniently located on the sea front in the picturesque urbanisation of S’Algar, just 4km from San Luis at the most south-east tip of the island.
The centre comprises a well stocked shop for all those necessary purchases of kit, presents and clothing and rental kit counter. We have an average of 35 complete sets of rental equipment all less than 2 years old (email mefor some great deals on ex school kit for sale!) and we use mainly 12l cylinders with a few 15l for the heavy breathers out there. All cylinders comply with Spanish legislation and have a hydrostatic test every three years and documented, official visual tests each year in between.
Also inside is the customer equipment store (so you can leave all your kit at the centre after your dives) and achanging area.
Outside, there’s a large fresh-water rinse tank for after-dive kit washing, a drying rack and showers and toilets by the adjacent swimming pool.
There’s plenty of parking nearby (although not always outside) and several places for coffee or lunch – or for an end-of-day beer!
We also have a suite of purpose built classrooms with AV equipment for teaching courses and for Discover Scubavideos. (Instructors, if you want to bring students out, the rooms and equipment can be made available to you for teaching).
As part of our continual investment and improvement programme, Simon and I have just purchased a brand new fully automatic 622l/min compressor. This also helps to fulfil our commitment to protecting the environment as it’s much quieter and uses less energy -and old BigBertha is now being re-used on a research ship in Denmark!
And just so as you know, the Hyperbaric chamber is situated at the Fire Station just 9km away.
We dive at least twice a day every day including Sundays in peak season and if you’re not staying on our village we may be able to collect you from local hotels in the mornings for your day’s diving.

[pic]Fleet

Wehave a fleet of two purpose built diveboats; a 9m twin-screw and 7.5m inboard semi-rigid, both for 10 divers and two crew and also a 5.5m semi-rigid outboard for divers, excursions or teaching.
We also have at our disposal two 9-seater minibuses and two 4x4 vehicles.

In addition to our friendly, experienced Instructors, we also have Divemasters and anoccasional, lucky Divemaster Trainee. We cover 5 languages between us all and in accordance with Spanish law, we also have at least one fully qualified professional boat skipper.

All accommodation is within a short stroll from the Dive Center and its facilities and I have personally seen it. Take a look at the quality of the local hotel group on www.salgarhotels.com

The cars are conveniently collected and dropped off at the airport so there’s no long waits or complications with transfers.
