Hello, my name is ……… and I´m going to talk about the professional career of an Industrial Engineer in Argentine.

This kind of profession can beconsiderate as a nexus between all the others engineering because the career doesn´t have a specific subject. When you are graduated you will know abouthard science, like math, physic, chemistry and algebra; but also you’ll be able to perform in areas like finances, high administration or planning ofan industry.

The Industrial Engineering is considered like a shallow sea. It means that you now a bit about a lot of things, but not much of anyone.The demand of this kind of professional is very high in Argentine and all around the world. For example in Argentine every year are about 3.000 newgraduated, when the local demand is 7000.

The most of the companies look for industrial engineers when the student is recently at the half of theprogram.

They are so wanted because of their capacity and flexibility to solve all kind of problems.

For example, at the moment I´m working in anInternational Tobacco Company, in the Engineering Process area and I have done only 20 subjects.

I have partners around 25 year who are alreadygraduated and they are boss of some department. And the manager of the local company is an Industrial Engineer too.

In conclusion, this is a very hardcareer. It´s long and it has some subjects heavy, but you now someday all the effort will be recognized.
