Presente Continuo

Present continuos (Presente Contínuo)
Se utiliza para hablar de las cosas que están ocurriendo ahora, en el momento de hablar:
Peter is listening to music  = Peter está escuchando músicaEstructura afirmativa: 
Sujeto + Presente del verbo BE + Verbo c/ ing  + Resto   
   I am singing in my room = Estoy cantando en mi habitación
Estructura Negativa:
Sujeto + Presente del verbo BE + NOT +Verbo c/ing + resto
 You are not working at the moment= No estás trabajando en este momento
Estructura de las preguntas:
 Verbo BE + Sujeto + Verbo+ing + resto?      
 Is Mary playing volleyball?= ¿Está jugando Mary voley?
Estructura de respuestas cortas:
Positivas: yes+ pronombre+ verbo to be. ( Yes, you are = si)
Negativa: No + pronombre + verbo to be +not (no; he isn´t= no)

ReglasLa forma verbo+ing se llama participio de presente o forma en -ing.
WORK    -> WORKING
SING      -> SINGING
PLAY     -> PLAYING

Si el verbo acaba en consonante + vocal + consonante,se dobla la consonante final antes de añadir -ING:
STOP     -> STOPPING
RUN      -> RUNNING
BEGIN    -> BEGINNING

Los verbos que acaban vocal + consonante + e pierden la e final antesde añadir -ING:
DANCE    -> DANCING
COME    -> COMING
CLOSE    -> CLOSING

Sin embargo, los verbos que acaban en doble e la mantienen antes de añadir el sufijo -ING:

PEE          ->PEEING
AGREE    -> AGREEING
Hay unos cuantos verbos en inglés que acaban en IE. Estos verbos cambian la IE por Y antes de añadir el sufijo -ING:

LIE    -> LYING
TIE    -> TYING
DIE   -> DYING
