Present Progressive - Presente progresivo
Presentprogressive tense is used to express that an activity is going on at the moment of speaking. | | El presente progresivo es usado para expresar que una actividad está sucediendo al momento de hablar.|
Present Progressive: The action began in the past, and it is going on at the moment of speaking. Probably the activity will continue and end at some point in the future.

Nevertheless, present progressive can be used in a slightly different sense, expressingactivities of a more general nature or which will happen in a near future. A verb, inflected to form a progressivetense, has always the ending –ing. In most cases, it is enough to place –ing at the end of the verb. However, it is sometimes necessary to do other changes to the verb. If the verb ends in a silent e (asin take), remove it and then place –ing instead (as in taking). If the verb is short and ends in a consonant preceded by a stressed vowel (as in get), that consonant is doubled and then –ing is added(as in getting). In British English, if the verb ends in an l preceded by a vowel (as in model), the l is always doubled (as in modelling). An exception to this rule is the verb to deal.
