Republican party
• Newt Gingrich
On May 11, 2011, after years out of electoral contests, announced his candidacy for the Republican Party primary for the presidential elections of 2012. Today is one of the main opposition Democratic President Barack Obama, who is accused of excessive statism in economics and foreign policy of acquiescence. On January 21, 2012 earned his firstvictory in the Republican primary in South Carolina, getting 23 delegates and beating his main rival, Mitt Romney. This makes it the favorite candidate of the rightist faction of the Republican Party, a sector dominated by the Tea Party.
• Ron Paul
Paul has been called the "intellectual godfather" of the Tea Party. He has achieved notoriety for his libertarian positions on many political issues, oftenclashing with leaders of the Republican and Democrat. Paul has been nominated twice for the Presidency of the United States, first in 1988 as a Libertarian Party candidate again in 2008 as a Republican. In December 2010, Ron Paul, an advocate of eliminating the central bank, was named chairman of the committee that controls the Federal Reserve. In May 2011, Paul officially announced that he wouldrun for president again as a Republican Party candidate in 2012. On July 13, 2011 announced that it will not seek reelection to Congress in 2012 to concentrate on his presidential campaign.
• Rick Perry
On August 13, Perry officially announced that it would be a candidate for the presidency. However, Perry suspended his campaign on January 19, 2012 due to the results of the "caucus" Republicansearlier dates.
• Mitt Romney
Romney ran for the Republican nomination in the 2008 U.S. presidential election, winning several primaries and caucuses, but eventually losing the nomination to John McCain. In the following years, he gave speeches and raised campaign funds on behalf of fellow Republicans. On June 2, 2011, Romney announced that he would seek the 2012 Republican presidentialnomination. Political observers, public opinion polls, and the results of the early caucuses and primaries consistently place him among the front-runners in the race.

Independent candidates might be Robert "Naked Cowboy" Burck, a street artist in New York and a journalist Joe Schriner of Ohio. Maybe the Green Party to run for the U.S. presidential election 2012, Jello Biafra. The Libertarian Party has shown its intention to be a candidate WayneAllyn M. Rooth, a businessman from Nevada, and R. Lee Wright.
