Summary

Bennet family has dive daughters, Jane , Elizabeth, Mary , Catherine and Lidia, their mother , a superficial woman,who wants marry them quickly, especially to a Jane , who’s meting Mr Bingley, a rich man of the area.But Bingley family are disagree due to the inferior status of Mrs Bennet.

While the partner seems fall in love , Elizabeth knows Mr Darcy, a rude young man that is afriend of Mr Bingley.Then Elizabeth will start meeting this family when suddenly Jane falls ill, and she comes to Bingle’s house to take care of her sister.
Afterwards Jane’s recuperation , the family suffer a legal contract which will leave their daughters without house.This situation make that Mrs Bennet press her daughters to marry to a confortable man; which’s compained with the arrive of MrCollings,who wants to marry with Lizzy(she refuses).

Meanwhile Lizzy met Mr Wickhman , the enemy of Mr Darcy who tells to her that is an materialist and a selfish person.Next Jane recives a letter of Mrs Bingley wich tells her that her brother is going to leave the town and settle to London for a long time.Jane falls in a depression that make Lizzy belive in the words of Wickman about theinfluence of Darcy and Mrs Bingley in the young man to forget Jane.

After that Jane went with her onlcle to London, and Lizzy is invited to dinner at the home of Darcy’s aunt, an arrogant lady.That day ,she meets Mr Darcy that seems to be interessed in her.

When Mr Darcy asks her to marry with him , she shows her all her frustration of the non-marriage of her sister and refuses rudely.LaterMr Darcy writes a lletter to her that explain why he stopped Bingley marrying Jane and give the version of his conflict with Wickhman.

Then Lidia is invited to stay in Brighton with friends.There, she meets Mr Wickman and run off with him(They are unmarried.).Before this, Lizzy accidentally meets Darcy on her travels,where all the people say good things about him.During the instance,both fallin love.

Although Lizzy hear that her sister Lidia is in problems , she returns to the town.Darcy pays Mr Wickham to celebrate the marriage(that Lizzy discovers later).

Finally Mr Bingley returns and asks Jane to marry and Darcy to Lizzy that both will accept in spite of the attepts of Darcy’s aunt to destroy the union.

Main character

Elizabeth, is an intelligent young woman, who’sis the father’s favourite and the less dear of the Mr Bennet’s daugthers.She often feels modesty of her mother.Lizzy broke the traditional maners, and refuse marry with a man only for money,also she plays the piano althouth perfectly.

Space – time

The story context is in Netherfield, Longbourn., where aristocracy and the middle class live together.Jane also go to London to go shopping,otherplace in the plot is Pemberly ,where was born Darcy and Wickham.
