I covered a pregnancy leave during the first Bimester and acted as a Maths teacher of 4 and 5 grade children. My duties included preparation, selection and administration of different material as well as evaluation of the students. Further duties included explanation of the topics and/or clarification of the instructions. Part of the job was to work separately with groups of childrenthroughout the period to guarantee their understanding.
Markham College : Spanish Summer School Program January 2012
The main responsibility was to reinforce the concepts and contents taught in Reading and Writing in Spanish to children who failed the course during the regular academic year. This was part of the preparation for the “recuperation” exam they had to take in February. During thiscourse I prepared nd th th children from 2 , 3rd, 4 and 5 grade. This is my current occupation. Duties include assisting both English and Spanish lessons for a second grade class and helping them should they express any difficulties with any material presented. This may take the form of a short explanation and/or clarification of theinstructions but can also include working separately with a group of children throughout the period to guarantee their understanding. In addition to this, in the occasional absence of the teacher, duties include preparing for and conducting the lesson. Responsibility for ensuring pupil welfare is a priority and requires monitoring the children during school hours outside of class time, with the planningand provision of weekly extracurricular activities. Further duties include preparation of class materials, educational aids and requisite classroom pageantry.

As a learning disabilities and speech language pathology specialist I work in “Creciendo” (therapy centre) and by myself providing private therapies for the past 10 years to children of elementaryschool age who present one or several communication deficits. Duties include the selection and administration of appropriate speech language pathology evaluations in order to implement adequate treatment with proper attention to age-appropriate considerations. Additionally, documenting the provision of such care with emphasis on patient response to treatment and progress is of the essence in orderto guarantee a work schedule that maximizes time utilization. Finally, staying abreast of trends and professional issues is important so as to always be able to provide the most current and up-to-date information and treatment.
