RESUMEN
La especie Acacia melanoxylon R.Br, es una especie de crecimiento rápido, bien adaptada a diferentes condiciones de suelos, y comúnmente utilizada como ornamental en Bogotá (Colombia). Se evaluó el efecto de tratamientos pregerminativos sobre elporcentaje de germinación, y altura de la plántula. Las semillas fueron sumergidas por 12 horas en agua a temperatura ambiente y 2 minutos en agua hirviendo. El diseño experimental utilizado fue completamente aleatorizado con 3 repeticiones y 10 semillas por unidad experimental. Los resultados obtenidos indican que hubo diferencias significativas (P<0,05) entre los tratamientos en el %G, no asíen y altura de las plantulas. Los máximos porcentajes de germinación se registraron en el sustrato 2 (Tierra y cascarilla), en combinación con el TP1 (tratamiento pregerminativo) en agua hirviendo con un 80% y la combinación de S2T1 no existiendo diferencias entre ellos. La AP oscilo entre 2,84 cm y 4,46 cm para la unidad experimental con combinación de tierra-arena, con tratamiento pregerminativoen agua a temperatura ambiente durante 12 horas.
ABSTRACT
The species Acacia melanoxylon R.Br is a fast growing species, well adapted to different soil conditions, commonly used as an ornamental in Bogota (Colombia). The effect of pre-germination treatments on the germination percentage and seedling height. Seeds were soaked in water for 12 hours at room temperature and 2 minutes in boilingwater.
