On November 7, 1867, in an old quarter of Warsaw, born Maria Sklodowska, Marie Curie future. His father is a professor of mathematics and physics, and his mother, a schoolteacher. The discovery of the philosophy of Auguste Comte, founder of positivism and sociology, will reinforce theirpassion for physics and mathematics. His family without money, more access to scientific studies that are rare for a woman at that time, and his decision to pursue a scientific career with the confront multiple difficulties. Marie left Poland to go to France in 1891 where he studied mathematics courses following two renowned mathematicians, Paul Painlevé and Paul Appell, as well as of physical andLeon Brillouin and Gabriel Lippmann. The latter, very impressed by the faculties of Marie, she gets to address a study on the magnetization of different types of steel. But the researcher, who also earned a degree in mathematics, lack of knowledge about the magnetism of matter and that the information to be one of the greatest experts of the day: Pierre Curie.
