RESUMEN EJECUTIVO

Logística y Supply Chain Management están siendo reconocidos como laintegración de los procesos claves de negocio a través del Supply Chain. Modernizar los procesos a través de las diferentes compañías, es el gran reto, para reducir los costos, incrementar la calidad y agilizar las operaciones; aquí es donde la lucha es productiva, para poder ser competentes y eficaces en el mercado.
Las victoriosas serán aquellas compañías que sean capaces de tener un nuevoacercamiento hacia los negocios, trabajando de cerca con los socios para diseñar y administrar procesos que estén extendidos a través de los límites tradicionales o fronteras corporativas. Estas compañías serán las únicas que no dejaran escapar la oportunidad de superar su eficiencia.
“Supply Chain Management es la integración de los procesos clave de negocio desde los usuarios finales a travésde los proveedores primarios que suministran productos, servicios e información que agrega valor para los clientes y otros involucrados”.
El documento está organizado como sigue: Primero conceptualizamos y establecemos las diferencias entre logística, Supply Chain y Supply Chain Management, luego clasificamos, enunciamos y definimos la Logística según su contenido y función, después damos unbreve concepto de Corredor Logístico, una Plataforma Logística y una Zona Logística, citando ejemplos de cada uno de ellos y estableciendo diferencias, posteriormente hablamos de los aspectos logísticos que determinan la competitividad de las empresas y terminamos describiendo los procesos estratégicos y tácticos de Supply Chain Management estableciendo relación entre ellos.RESUMEN EN INGLES (ABSTRACT)

The Logistics and the Supply Chain Management are being recognized like the integration of the business key processes through the supply chain. Modernize the processes through the different companies, is the big challenge, to reduce costs, increase the quality and expediting the operations; here's where the struggle is productive, to be competent and effective at themarket.
The victors will be those companies that are able to have a new rapprochement to business, working close with the associates to design and manage processes that are extended through the traditional limits or the corporative borders. Those companies will be the ones that will not let escape the opportunity to overcome their efficiency.

This document is organized as follows: First we conceptualize and establish the differences between Logistics, Supply Chain and Supply Chain Management, then we classify, define and enunciate the Logistics by contents andfunction, the we give a brief concept of Logistics Corridor, a Logistics Platform and Logistics Area, citing examples of each one and differentiating them. Then we talk about the logistics that determine the competitiveness of companies and ended by describing the strategic and tactical Supply Chain Management processes by relating them.
