Cognitive Psychology
“Was so simple that only a genius could have thought of it."
Albert Einstein to Piaget's discovery.
Is consider that cognitive science started developing in the 1950s as an intellectual movement, taking Jean Piaget (Swiss philosopher and psychology) as thefounder of cognitive psychology studying behaviorism.
Cognitive psychologist study how our brains function, learns, language, behavior, memory, and even from brain imaging to psychometrics.
An experiment made by Jean Piaget states that there is a thought process with their own special logic and order, after working with barely-talking children.
Cognitive psychologists perform the following dutiesas conduct research on the human thought process; teach at colleges and universities; work at government agencies; work as human factors consultants or industrial-organizational managers; study the human brain and memory in relation to computers; work with Alzheimer's or memory-loss patients; work with children to understand memory formation; teach language skills and problem solving; work in thelegal system and study the mental processes of criminals, witnesses, juries and judges.

Developmental Psychology
Developmental psychologists study human development, the physiological, cognitive and social development in every stage of our lives; usually the psychologists specialize in a specific life stage. They also study the biological influences like genetics and environmental aspects thatdetermine who we are (nature vs. nurture), the developmental disabilities and their effects. The topic becomes interesting when they study serial killers, psychopaths, or other deviants; also the study of sexual development and how gender is acquired.
These psychologists usually work in evaluating developmental disabilities, evaluating motor skills progression/regression, studying thedevelopment of moral reasoning and ethics among individuals and groups, studying the acquisition of language skills and other forms of communication, researching social patterns, behavior and personality development, assessing individual problem solving patterns.
An example of this could be represented in a psychologist who studies a criminal who murdered five people in the last two years (serialkillers); the expert will study the family antecedents and the environment in which the criminal grew.

Educational Psychology
Aristotle and Plato are considered the earliest educational psychologists in the world. Around 400 BC they planted the questions: How do students learn? How does an education shape the mind and person? Do all students learn in roughly the same manner?
Study how childrenand adults learn in educational settings in order to improve current teaching methods. The research becomes interesting when they work with gifted children or those with developmental disabilities. These psychologists conduct research on classroom dynamics and multiple ways of teaching and learning; in order to make research they use standardized intelligence test but the polemic is if intelligencecan be quantitatively measured or not. They work in developing educational tests, evaluating educational programs, consulting schools to implement teaching and testing changes.
Educational psychologists should not be confused with school psychologists or school counselors because they assist students one by one and educational psychologists study masses.
In the high school we haveeducational psychologists who made research of the students to stay which is the best teaching method in order to make students improve in their education.

Experimental Psychology
Experimental psychologists make experiments in controlled situations in order to examine or establish hypotheses about human behavior. Scientists take in consideration that a human response to sensation, perception,...
