ESTRUCTURA DE LOS COMPUESTOS ORGANICOS
Los compuestos orgánicos son sustancias químicas que contienen carbono, formando enlaces covalentes carbono-carbono y/o carbono-hidrógeno. En muchoscasos contienen oxígeno, y también nitrógeno, azufre, fósforo, boro, halógenos y otros elementos. Estos compuestos se denominan moléculas orgánicas. No son moléculas orgánicas los compuestos que contienen carburos, los carbonatos y los óxidos de carbono.
Las propiedades físicas de un compuesto dependen principalmente del tipo de enlaces que mantienen unidos a los átomos de una molécula. Éstospuede indicar el tipo de estructura y predecir sus propiedades físicas. A continuación se darán a conocer los tipos de enlaces que influencian las propiedades de los compuestos químicos.
