QUE ES LA SOCIOLOGIA?
A comienzos del siglo XXI, vivimos hoy en el mundo enormemente preocupante, pero lleno de la mas extraordinarias promesas para el futuro. Es un mundopletórico de cambios, marcado por profundos conflictos, tensiones y divisiones sociales, así como por los destructivos ataques de la tecnología moderna al entorno natural.
La sociología es el estudio de la vida social humana, de sus grupos y sociedades. Es una empresa cautivadora y atrayente, al tener como objetivo nuestro propio comportamiento como seres sociales. El ámbito de la sociología esextremadamente amplio, y va desde el análisis de los encuentros efímeros entre individuos en la calle hasta la investigación de los procesos sociales globales como el aumento del fundamento islámico.
La sociología nos muestra la necesidad de adoptar un punto de vista mucho mas amplio acerca de por que somos como somos y por que actuamos como lo hacemos.
