Mr. Jeff Jacoby, from the last years we are witnessing thousands of deportations. Deportations have begun to be social problems for people who are living illegally inthis country are they have to face it. In the essay named “What If We Deport Them All?” where the author is you, explain about how these immigrants’ decisions are affecting to society in differentaspects in our daily lives. Hence, I want to respond you some points in your essay that I support and I want to discuss from my point of view. There points are:
At first, I agree with your suggestionwhen you said “make more immigration legal”. This idea could be a great blessing for thousands of people living legally in this country, longing someday to get a legal status and work quietly. Moreover,Mr. Jeff, if your idea would be considered, we would prevent the racism that we see every day in different aspect of our lives, as examples are the view of the reader V which says that they areapart world from illegal aliens. So, I believe that these exclamations from your reader V are words of racism that generate hatred between societies.
On the other hand, I want to tell you that sometimessurveys are not always successful and I think that more than 24% of people support deportation. So, I argue this because I watch in TV how group of people make strikes among illegal people each time.At the same time, if you say that in the survey the 50% support legalization, my question is why don’t we do something to legalize? .Perhaps Mr. Jeff is that we are being selfish with them or we don’twant to share anything with anyone. Nevertheless, you explain in your essay that money has been invested to stop border crossing and paying the immigration officer more hours of work but you saythis is” Not working”. Of course Mr. Jeff this is not working because these people always are willing to leave the country or cross the border to back here to despite the economy of this country is...
