What do you do to look after yourself when you catch a cold or the flu?

Currently, colds and flus are very common diseases in our lives. Many years ago, many people diedbecause of the flu, which became a huge epidemic that affected millions of people. Fortunately, nowadays, due to the fact that science is constantly developing, these diseases arecontrolled and they can be cured easily.

These diseases usually appear due to change of seasons when temperatures drop, especially in autumn or winter. When we move from a hotplace to a cold place, the temperature of our body change, we can catch a cold. We can also catch it if we do not wear enough clothes; temperatures are too cold, if we catch thevirus when we breathe the infected air after a person has just sneezed or if we do not have enough defenses in our body to fight against the virus.

If you catch acold or flu, the most important thing is to rest. If you want to get better, you must stay at home, you must rest on the sofa or in bed, covered with a blanket and you must be farfrom drafts. If you have a headache you should try to sleep. On the other hand, you should drink large amounts of water and orange juice to reduce the virus because it cannot bekilled with antibiotics, but you can take anti-inflammatory medications or ibuprofen to prevent fever and aches and you can also prove popular home remedies that include honey,lemon and water to feel better. It is also very important that you control carefully your temperature with a thermometer to see if you have improved or not.

In conclusion,these diseases can be cured with patience and much rest, but one essential thing is to avoid contact with others because you could infect them with the virus and they could get sick.
